J.Crew Fall 2010 | Men’s Collection
April 2nd, 2010 | Published in Fashion | 16 Comments
This afternoon I was fortunate enough to visit J.Crew’s Fall 2010 Menswear Presentation, and designer Frank Muytjens has done it again. Since his start in 2008, Muytjens has transformed what was used to be little more than a preppy mail order catalog into one of the definitive sources for menswear. Also, under his direction, J.Crew has entered into numerous collaborations with your favorite brands, including Inverallan, Quoddy, Superior Labor, Barbour, and Belstaff, and opened its much acclaimed Liquor Store. From its rolled-up chinos to its wingtip oxfords, chambray workshirts, and everything in between, J.Crew has become one of my favorite brands to wear and look to for inspiration. I can’t wait until this collection comes out. In the mean time, I hope these pictures (and more, which are forthcoming) will suffice!

Outstanding – narrow lapels, fair isle, and shetland… The brand has grown up quite a bit from it’s ‘Slouch Fit’ denim days…

One of the more affordable stylish brands there is, does it again. Well played Frank.

Looks good to me. Glad to see it’s a little dressier than the straight workwear thing that was going on this past F/W.

This just in…square jaws and great hair are IN for this fall!
The clothes look amazing, though. It’s pretty incredible how J. Crew has turned it around in such a short period of time.

David, yes – was there yesterday (and finally met James from Secret Forts, which was a real pleasure). Unfortunately, I didn’t get to check out the women’s preview though, which you can find at J.CrewAholics here: http://jcrewaholics.com/preview/sneak-peak-at-jcrew-fall-2010-collection/
Hopefully next time!
