Sit and Read at Unis

May 4th, 2010  |  Published in Fashion, Furniture  |  2 Comments

Unis, which was named one of America’s Best New Designers for 2010 by GQ, has partnered with Sit & Read, a lovely Brooklyn-based company specializing in mid-century and industrial furnishings, to decorate the interior of its Nolita location (226 Elizabeth St).  Whether it’s metal milk crates, steel work tables, or those awesome lil’ Mason Ball Jars, Sit & Read has what you need.  Ten minutes reading Sit & Read’s blog and I’m in love.  Maybe it was the video “How to Make a Fiberglass Shell Chair” that got me (Am I that easy, Charles?).  I can’t be certain.  Regardless, this unique collaboration kicked off late last month when Kyle Garner furnished the store with his great collection of vintage pieces.  The weather is going to be great this weekend (wear sunblock!) so you have no excuse not to visit Unis.  See you there!
