Inside Collings Guitars

September 26th, 2011  |  Published in Footwear, Music  |  2 Comments

“When they’re worn, well worn, well played, it’s great. That’s the best looking guitar there is out there. Is the one that has a patina…That’s a good looking guitar. That’s when they’re right.”

Founded in 1973 by Bill Collings, Collings Guitars is an Austin-based manufacturer of high-end custom guitars and mandolins. As an avid guitarist, I have a tremendous respect for the folks at Collings for crafting some of the best guitars ever to be played. We should all have a greater appreciation for those who make things with their hands. Like our friends from Red Wing…

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out The American List from Michael over at ACL.
