Anachronorm Duck Coverall

May 21st, 2010  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags, Fashion

Available from Eggplant for a mere 29,400 Yen ($325), this coverall from Anachronorm is next on my to-buy-list.  Pair this with some cuffed selvedge denim and you’re set!  The tote‘s pretty cool as well, though I think I’ll just keep squawkin’ along with my Parrot Canvas. Share

The Way We Carry

December 15th, 2009  |  by thepursuitaesthetic  |  published in Bags

The Way We Carry, created by Brit Kleinman, the head bag designer for Jack Spade,  is a collection of images about what we use to carry our things and has quickly become one of my favorite daily reads. “I truly believe that the ability to make tools is what separates humans out from other animals. [...]

December 7th, 2009  |  by thepursuitaesthetic  |  published in Bags

Siel Marschall, a German, family-owned, outdoor goods manufacturer, has been making bags (among other things) by hand since 1896.  This is The Canoe Day Pack, spotted by Jamie over at The Standard Edition.  Check out more here.  Great stuff! Share

Rogues Gallery Canvas Boat Bag

March 11th, 2009  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags

Made out of used sailing canvas, Rogues Gallery‘s latest collection of boat bags have an authentic distressed look; an aesthetic that’s truly definitive of the brand.  The new Spring/Summer 2009 Rogues Gallery Canvas Boat Bag is now available from Tres Bien Shop. Share

Yuketen

February 1st, 2009  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags, Footwear

I was really impressed by Yuketen at capsule.  Their footwear is great, as are their bags.  Their booth started to get quite crowded and I wasn’t able to get any good shots.  These photos really don’t do their collection justice – at all.  Check out Yuketen’s website for more info, and if you’re interested in [...]

J.Augur Design

January 29th, 2009  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags

I love these small duffle bags by J.Augur Design.  At 45,000 Yen (roughly $500) they’re not for the recessionistas out there (available at anoutcommune meta).  Nevertheless, I’d definitely throw down some coin for them.  That is, if I had said coin!  Founded by Judy Augur in 2004, J.Augur Design aims to modify “vintage materials to [...]

Porter Classic Ginza

December 29th, 2008  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags

“Porter Classic is a new line created by Katsuyuki Yoshida (the founder of Yoshida & Co.) and his son Akira Yoshida. Their first collection took two years in the planning because Katsuyuki Yoshida and Akira Yoshida wanted to create products that they really liked. On December 25th, they opened their first Porter Classic store in [...]

Margaret Howell x Porter “Town Walk” Collection

December 27th, 2008  |  by Brennan  |  published in Bags

The “Town Walk” Collection is a collaboration between Porter and British menswear designer Margaret Howell.  There are three different models that include backpacks, tote bags, and pouches.  They’re available for purchase at AllBeams.com.  I love the simplicity of these bags.  Via hypebeast. Share
